Tumor Trooper Run Walk 9/8/12 : The First Annual Tumor Trooper Run/Walk (Atlanta) took place on Saturday, 9/8/12, at Mansell Crossing Shopping Center near North Point Mall in Alpharetta, GA. Nearly 600 participants came out to support the event. The majority of participants were BTFC families and their friends and relatives who ran, walk, and raised money in honor and in memory of our many Heroes - the children who so valiantly fight brain and spinal cord tumors. Evening with Clark Howard : "An Evening with Clark Howard... to help children with brain tumors" at the home of Clark and Lane Howard on April 28th was a magical evening. We are so grateful to: Clark and Lane for hosting us at their beautiful home, our many sponsors for their generous support, and all attendees and donors for making the evening, which raised net proceeds of $65,000, so special. 2011 Fishing Extravaganza : Special thanks to Andrew Wilson Studios (www.andrewwilsonstudios.com) for providing these amazing photos. The 12th Annual BTFC Fishing Extravaganza hosted by Julian and Chris Danielly and the Marietta Bassmasters took place on June 18, 2011 in Loganville, GA. The weather was superlative, with much cooler temperatures than we had seen in weeks, overcast skies (hmmm, is that why so many fish were caught?!) and a cool breeze. We cannot thank Julian and Chris and the Marietta Bassmasters enough for all they have done for BTFC and BTFC families over the past 12 years. And this year, $13,000 was raised by Club Members for the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children on top of providing this wonderful day. The generosity of ALL involved in making this event happen is indeed overwhelming and we are eternally grateful!

Flight of the Butterflies 4/19/09 : Over 300 guests gathered at the Atlanta History Center on April 19th to honor pediatric neuro-oncologist Dr. Claire M. Mazewski of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The event also served as a way to celebrate the lives of children served by the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children. Over $40,000 was raised to support BTFC programs and services, in particular the Butterfly Fund, which helps families with unmet financial needs at the time of their child's treatment.
